I would ask my family and community to forgive me. I realize that I am much less than perfect. I've led a life rift with obstacles and difficulties. But to no fault of my amazing parents or anyone- I have chosen the wrong paths. Today, I am humbled by everyone supporting my freedom; it is emotional, especially when one does not merit such unconditional support without considering my unjust sentence. At my older age today, I want to be there for my more aging parents, who have their health issues, my wife, and my step-daughter.
I want to prove to our community that I am a soul worth saving. I am not faring well health-wise, and mentally I was diagnosed with acute post-traumatic stress disorder. I Pray that the President finds it within him to commute my sentence. I will not fall short and serve our community to prevent our youth from encountering a similar fate.
Respectfully
Danny Rodriguez
